We’re humbled by the incredible response you’ve given us during our first month. Our Trust community has grown to over 200,000 customers and we are extremely grateful for this start. During September, you’ve made close to 1 million Trust transactions. You’ve also been using your digital coupons extensively with more than 120,000 redeemed during the month. This includes over 11,000 of you enjoying a free Signature Breakfast Set at Kopitiam and almost 60,000 of you redeeming FairPrice bags of rice (that’s almost 60 tons!). We hope these are making a difference to your everyday cost of living and we look forward to bringing more savings to you through the Trust App.
We’re also really grateful for all your feedback. We take great effort in going through all feedback and we believe that acting on it is the best way to create a bank that you’ll love. Your current Trust experience is just the beginning and by listening carefully to you, we will make regular improvements. During the first week after launch, one of your top enquiries was how to reduce credit card limits. Within 10 days, our team built and released an in-App feature for you to adjust your credit limit. A feature that many of you are currently asking for is to be able to repay your Trust credit card from your savings account. We’re working hard on this and will introduce it during October. These are two of several examples of how we are working with you to improve your experience.
Because of the incredible response during our first month, we are running short of physical cards. We ordered additional cards as soon as we saw the high levels of demand but due to the global chip shortage, these will take some time to arrive. As a result, we expect new customers will have to wait around six weeks to receive their physical card. As a new customer, you will continue to receive digital cards instantly and will be able to do most things you would normally do as a Trust customer. Your digital card can be used for contactless and online transactions, including those through Apple Pay, Google Pay and the FairPrice App. However, you’ll have to wait until you have a physical card to withdraw cash at ATMs. We’re sorry for this and are offering an extra 2 per cent Linkpoints rate to impacted customers while they wait.
